Project Summary
The IVA SBC project involved creating a web interface for easy management of a service that filters traffic and secures real-time connections.
Key Achievements:
- Reduced average setup time several times.
- Minimized configuration errors.
- Interface supports up to 5000 connections without delays.
The project simplified administrator tasks and improved system reliability.
My Goals for the SBC Project
The main goal of this project was to create a user-friendly and functional web interface for managing the SBC service, enabling technical specialists and administrators to configure the system efficiently, reduce errors, and accelerate the setup process.
To achieve this goal, I focused on the following tasks:
- Researching user needs and requirements for the interface.
- Developing the interface structure based on UX best practices.
- Designing mockups for key screens, including tables, charts, tabs, and modal windows.
- Creating a responsive design for usability across various devices.
- Testing the interface to ensure it is intuitive and user-friendly.
Key Solutions
At the start of the project, it became clear that the interface would be an administrative system featuring a significant number of tables. The following actions were taken to ensure a user-friendly and functional design:
1. Analysis and Research
Several administrative systems were analyzed, and references and best practices for table design were collected. The research focused on:
- Options for filtering and sorting data.
- Pagination for large data sets.
- Interaction with context menus and row-specific actions.
2. Prioritization
Based on the analysis, the focus was placed on:
- Easy navigation within tables.
- Highlighting key data for quick recognition.
- Intuitive controls for bulk actions.
3. Prototyping
Draft table mockups were created to validate ideas and discuss them with potential users—system administrators.
Results
1. Reduced Configuration Time
The intuitive and logically structured interface significantly reduced the average system configuration time. System administrators can now quickly perform setups and make adjustments without requiring extensive training.
2. Fewer Configuration Errors
Clear visual cues, a well-organized interface, and carefully designed controls led to a noticeable reduction in configuration errors. This minimized the need for corrections and decreased the workload on technical support.
3. High Performance
The interface was optimized to handle up to 5000 active connections simultaneously, ensuring system stability even under high load conditions.
4. Positive User Feedback
Testing results revealed highly positive feedback from technical specialists, who appreciated the interface’s simplicity, convenience, and clarity. Notably, the tools for working with tables and data filtering were highly praised.

The platform's core functionality includes traffic proxying, route configuration, activity monitoring, and ensuring connection security. To demonstrate the key features of the interface, the following example screens are provided:
1. Server Management
This screen showcases the ability to manage proxy servers, including viewing their status and primary parameters.
2. Route Configuration
An example screen for managing VVoIP routing, including setting up filters and assigning rules.
3. Activity Monitoring
This screen demonstrates how the system processes and displays call logs, enabling users to analyze data in real time.
4. System Management
An example of configuring high-availability clusters to ensure system stability.

Conclusion
The SBC web interface project simplified system management, making it easier and more convenient by reducing setup time, minimizing errors, and enhancing administrator productivity.
This project laid the groundwork for future functionality development, including creating a more flexible tool to address necessary tasks and improving the user experience for system administrators.
