Project Summary
The project began as a Telegram channel with around 1,000 users discussing and attempting to buy early-stage cryptocurrencies. The main issue was limited access to popular investment platforms. As demand grew, the need for a dedicated platform became clear. The initial versions of the platform required substantial improvements in layout and user experience to meet user needs and business goals.
Main Goal
To improve platform usability and operational efficiency by providing users with a simple and accessible way to purchase early-stage cryptocurrencies, ultimately leading to increased customer loyalty and revenue growth for the project.
As a result, after launching the updated version of the platform, over 4,500 new clients were acquired, generating approximately $2,250,000 in revenue for the business.
My Objectives in the Insider Project
1. Optimizing and Enhancing User Experience
The primary task was to refine the existing versions of the platform by creating a more intuitive and user-friendly interface. The goal was to make the process of purchasing early-stage cryptocurrencies as simple and accessible as possible.
2. Designing the Core Layouts of the Platform
I was responsible for developing key layouts for the new platform version, ensuring both functionality and alignment with business requirements. Special focus was given to improving user interaction, as well as ensuring visual clarity and logical navigation.
3. Analysis and Development of UX/UI Solutions
To achieve the project goals, I conducted an analysis of the target audience and competitors, which provided a deeper understanding of user needs. I then developed wireframes and prototypes that went through several rounds of usability testing. Based on the gathered data, I finalized the layouts and worked on the visual aspect, creating an interface that combines functionality with aesthetic appeal.
4. Research and Problem Understanding
The research revealed that users encountered difficulties when purchasing new tokens on the platform. On the homepage of the old design, they were overwhelmed with information-heavy blocks, making navigation challenging and complicating access to the key action—buying a token.
An analysis of user behavior and a review of competitor solutions helped identify the main issues and propose effective solutions. This included simplifying navigation and optimizing key actions to create a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.
Key Solutions
As part of the project, I conducted a comprehensive analysis and developed solutions aimed at enhancing the platform and the user experience. The work process included several key stages:
1. Competitor Research
To gain a better understanding of the market and competitive advantages, I analyzed leading crypto platforms such as Binance Launchpad, Bybit Launchpad, Coin List, and DAO Maker. This helped identify successful practices and areas for improvement on our platform.
2. Target Audience Definition
Based on market research and product specifics, I created a profile of the target audience. This included traders and investors interested in purchasing cryptocurrencies at early stages of their release, with a focus on the convenience and accessibility of the platform.
3. Preparation of hypotheses and questions for research
I developed several hypotheses that required validation during user interviews. Questions were crafted for an in-depth analysis of user behavior and to identify their pain points. Additionally, a sample of research participants was determined.
4. Conducting user interviews
The platform granted me access to its user base, allowing me to invite respondents who met the selected criteria for interviews. During the interviews, I gathered valuable data on user needs and issues.
5. Data analysis and presentation to the team
After completing the interviews, I conducted a detailed analysis of the collected data to identify key insights and improve the design and functionality of the platform. The research findings were presented to the team, where I proposed solutions to the previously identified issues.
6. Prototype development and usability testing
Based on the collected data, I developed prototypes of the new interfaces and conducted several iterations of usability testing. This helped identify and address potential issues in the early stages of development.
7. Presentation of the solution and handover of designs for development
The final solution was presented to the CEO of the company, after which the designs and specifications were handed over for implementation.
Results and Achievements
As a result of the redesign and enhancements made to the platform, we achieved a significant growth of over 4,500 users, generating approximately $2,250,000 in revenue for the company. Additionally, due to positive metrics, I successfully developed new sections, including the Academy and Trading Robots. All design prototypes can be viewed at the following link. The platform continues to operate effectively, providing ongoing revenue for its founders.
Conclusion
This project not only deepened my expertise in working with crypto platforms but also demonstrated my ability to enhance user experience and solve critical business challenges. I am ready to apply this experience to successfully execute future projects.
